Product Manager Asia Pacific (m/f/d)
ABOUT THE ROLE
At Westlake Global Compounds, you will do more than manage products you will help shape regional strategy, drive portfolio growth, and connect market needs with technical execution across APAC. In this role, you will support the development of targeted solutions for key segments such as BCCP, Health Care, and Automotive, working closely with teams across functions and countries.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Define and drive product and market strategies for selected APAC segments, identifying growth opportunities based on market, customer, technology, and competitive insights.
- Manage the product portfolio across the full lifecycle, from development and launch to optimization and phase-out, with a focus on margin, cost, yield, and market share.
- Lead and coordinate new product development with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Sales, and Finance.
- Align global formulations with regional market and customer requirements, including specifications, testing, validation, and scale-up.
- Support pricing, forecasting, demand planning, key customer activities, and product training for regional teams.
YOUR REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Business, or a related field
- Several years of experience in Product Management, Technical Marketing, or a commercial role within chemicals, plastics, polymers, or a related industry
- Strong understanding of pricing, portfolio management, lifecycle management, and technical products
- Analytical mindset, KPI focus, and confidence working in international, matrix-based environments
- Strong communication skills and the ability to connect technical and commercial perspectives
- Fluent English skills; additional Asian language skills are a plus
- Structured, self-driven working style and willingness to travel within APAC
