1. About Puzzle Studio
Puzzle Studio is a fast-growing mobile game studio passionate about creating fun, engaging, and high-quality casual puzzle games enjoyed by players worldwide.
We believe great games are built by talented people who combine creativity, technology, and data-driven decision-making. As our portfolio continues to grow, we're looking for a Product Lead to lead our product organization and drive the next stage of growth across our game portfolio.
If you're passionate about building successful mobile games, enjoy making product decisions through data, and love developing high-performing teams, we'd love to hear from you.
2. Role Overview
As the Product Lead, you will gradually take ownership of the company's day-to-day product organization from the CEO, who currently serves as the Acting Head of Product.
Beyond managing individual features or game roadmaps, you will drive product strategy across the portfolio, lead the Game Design team, and ensure every product decision contributes to long-term player value and business performance.
You will work closely with Business Intelligence, User Acquisition, Monetization, and Engineering teams to build scalable product systems, optimize LiveOps, and establish a strong data-driven product culture.
3. Responsibilities
Portfolio Strategy
- Own the product roadmap across the game portfolio, prioritizing initiatives based on Portfolio Cohort P&L, retention, LTV, and long-term business impact.
- Balance product investments across multiple game titles instead of optimizing individual games in isolation.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify product opportunities and emerging industry trends.
Product Systems & LiveOps
- Lead the company's LiveOps strategy across multiple game titles.
- Design and standardize reusable gameplay systems and product modules that can be adopted across different games.
- Build and optimize progression systems, Battle Pass, player segmentation, seasonal events, game economy, and monetization features.
- Measure and continuously improve the business impact of product systems after launch.
Product Analytics & Decision Making
- Analyze player cohorts, retention curves, LTV, ARPDAU, engagement, monetization, and overall product performance.
- Design and evaluate A/B tests using sound statistical methodologies.
- Formulate analytical hypotheses and work closely with the BI team to generate meaningful product insights.
- Distinguish genuine product engagement from acquisition channel bias, ensuring product decisions are based on reliable player behavior.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Game Design team through coaching, performance management, and career development.
- Define clear ownership and responsibilities across the product organization.
- Build a product team capable of making day-to-day product decisions independently with minimal CEO involvement.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with User Acquisition to improve creative-product fit and player quality.
- Collaborate with the Monetization team to balance advertising revenue, IAP performance, and player retention.
- Work with Engineering and BI teams to define tracking specifications and ensure reliable analytics infrastructure.
- Present product performance, strategic recommendations, and portfolio insights to senior leadership.
4. Requirements
Must have:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Product Management, Computer Science, Game Design, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Product Management within the mobile gaming industry.
- Hands-on experience working on Casual, Puzzle, or Hybrid Casual games.
- Proven experience owning the business performance and P&L of at least one live mobile game.
- Experience managing and developing at least two Game Designers with demonstrated leadership impact.
- Strong understanding of core gameplay loops, progression systems, player motivation, and free-to-play game design.
- Deep understanding of product analytics, including retention curves, cohort analysis, LTV, ARPDAU decomposition, funnels, and player engagement.
- Strong knowledge of both advertising monetization (waterfall, mediation, ad load optimization) and in-app purchase monetization (conversion funnel, pricing, ARPPU optimization).
- Experience designing and evaluating A/B tests using statistical methodologies.
- Ability to formulate the right analytical questions and translate complex data into product decisions.
- Excellent product prioritization, stakeholder management, leadership, and communication skills.
- Comfortable making product decisions in fast-paced environments with incomplete information.
Nice to Have
- Experience managing LiveOps across multiple game titles.
- Experience designing Battle Pass, player segmentation, game economy, or progression systems.
- Experience building reusable gameplay frameworks or shared product systems across a portfolio.
- Experience working in a fast-growing game studio.
- Familiarity with ClickHouse, Metabase, GameAnalytics, Firebase, Singular, or similar analytics platforms.
- Experience working closely with User Acquisition and Monetization teams to optimize portfolio performance.
- 5. What We Offer
- Shape the product strategy of a growing portfolio of globally published mobile games.
- Work directly with the CEO during the product leadership transition and play a key role in building Puzzle Studio's product organization.
- Join a collaborative, passionate, and data-driven game studio where your decisions directly influence player experience and business growth.
