About the role
We are looking for a hands-on, Ai-native Product owner to own product development across our lending portfolio — Cashloan, Payday, BNPL, Overdraft and Merchant Loan.
You will take products from problem to launch and beyond: discovery, requirements, build, UAT, go-live, and iteration. You will work closely with Tech, Design, Risk, Credit, Compliance, and Operations, across both the Cake app and our embedded partner channels.
You also move faster than a traditional PM, because AI is a default part of how you work — and you know how to put AI to work inside the product, not just around it.
What you will do
Discovery and definition
- Own the roadmap and backlog for your assigned lending products.
- Turn customer needs, funnel data, and business goals into clear problem statements, prioritized features, and measurable outcomes.
- Write Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), user stories, and acceptance criteria that Tech and delivery teams can build from without further clarification.
- Run discovery: customer and stakeholder interviews, competitor teardowns, and opportunity sizing.
Build, launch, and iterate
- Drive the full development cycle: requirement clarification, solution design, UAT, go-live coordination, and post-launch monitoring.
- Work daily with Tech, Design, Risk, Credit, Compliance, and Operations to ship features that are fast, compliant, and easy to use.
- Own the go-to-market rollout together with BD, Marketing, and Operations. Define success metrics before launch and make sure they are measurable.
- Run experiments (A/B tests, staged rollouts) and iterate based on real usage and portfolio results.
AI-native ways of working
- Use AI tooling (LLMs, Claude / Claude Code, BigQuery, internal knowledge base) as a default part of your workflow — to draft BRDs, analyze data, prototype, and ship faster.
- Identify and design opportunities to embed AI into lending products and journeys — smarter onboarding, underwriting support, personalization, servicing automation, fraud and risk signals.
- Build and maintain reusable AI-assisted workflows, prompts, and skills that raise the whole team's velocity, not just your own.
- Stay current on AI capability and translate it into concrete, shippable product bets — signal over hype.
Data and performance
- Read portfolio, funnel, conversion, and vintage/cohort data directly, and use it to prioritize and to prove impact.
- Monitor P&L, conversion, and delinquency (LG2 / NPL) by product and channel.
What we are looking for
Must have
- 1–3+ years in product management for lending, fintech, or digital financial products. The role is open up to Supervisor level.
- A track record of shipping products end-to-end, from discovery through launch to iteration.
- Solid understanding of the product lifecycle and products
- AI-native: you already use AI tools in your daily work and can show us concretely how. Having shipped AI-powered features is a strong plus.
- Data-native: comfortable with SQL / BigQuery, funnel analysis, and cohort analysis.
- Clear BRD and spec writing, strong stakeholder management, and direct communication.
Nice to have
- Experience with embedded or partner lending channels.
- Familiarity with Vietnamese lending regulation — enough to build compliantly.
