2. Job Summary:
- We are seeking a highly disciplined, process-driven Product Design Manager to lead, scale, and inspire our growing team of Product Designers and UX Writers (currently 20+ members).
- In this role, you will be the driving force behind our design velocity, consistency, and execution. This is a role for a practitioner-leader: while you won't be doing day-to-day pixel-pushing, you must possess the deep, hands-on technical mastery required to review files and unblock your team.
- You will bridge the gap between design and enterprise-level development while partnering with international expertise to integrate the latest AI toolsets, supercharge team efficiency, and elevate our experience metrics.
3. Key Responsibilities:
3.1 Team Leadership & Talent Growth:
- Directly manage, mentor, and elevate a high-performing team of 20+ product designers and UX writers.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, professional growth, and strong accountability.
- Actively coach team members on their craft, career paths, and soft skills to build the next generation of design leaders.
- Partner closely with an onsite Expat Specialist who directly drives skill development and new tool evaluation.
- Augment mentorship within the team, ensuring knowledge is effectively transferred while mutually aligning on toolset evaluations to bring top-tier capabilities to the local team.
3.2 Design Operations & Velocity Optimization:
- Drive delivery velocity by optimizing end-to-end design processes, workflows, and tool utilization.
- Enforce daily rigor, operational discipline, and strict consistency across all design outputs.
- Collaborate closely with the Design System Lead to drive updates and evolution of enterprise Figma Design Systems, ensuring they seamlessly support the product design team's needs.
- Own and streamline the design-to-development (Design-to-Dev) handoff process at an enterprise scale, ensuring zero friction with engineering teams.
3.3 AI Integration & Experience Metrics:
- Stay ahead of the market by actively researching and implementing emerging AI toolsets to optimize team workflow and output quality, in mutual alignment with the Expat Specialist.
- Establish, track, and optimize key experience metrics to prove the business value and user impact of design interventions.
3.4 Hands-on Quality Governance:
- Maintain a flexible, problem-solving mindset to balance business constraints with user needs.
- Utilize deep practical expertise to conduct rigorous design reviews.
- Demonstrate strong technical understanding of Figma to effectively guide and unblock the team.
3.5 Tactical & Daily Responsibilities
Daily Request Management & Prioritization
- Manage incoming design requests from various business units, primarily Product Owners, while also supporting requests from marketing and other business teams.
- Prioritize tasks and assign them to appropriate Senior Designers within a mini-Agile team framework.
Knowledge Sharing & Cross-Training
- Leverage specialized product knowledge held by Senior Designers while cross-training the broader team.
- Drive growth in core UX/UI capabilities, user journey mapping, and critical thinking as new business units are added.
Project & Resource Management
- Form mini-Agile teams around specific projects.
- Manage team allocation across multiple projects and Senior Designers.
- Manage outsourced resources allocated to Senior Designers.
- Maintain complete visibility into project status and provide accurate updates to stakeholders.
Design Review, Mentorship & Reporting
- Conduct hands-on design reviews and provide constructive feedback to support team development.
- Establish highly effective daily workflows and reporting structures.
- Deliver weekly reports on team utilization, capacity, and current challenges.
Expat Expert Guidance
- Provide weekly guidance and feedback to the onsite expat expert.
- Direct focus toward mentoring the team, improving toolset proficiency, and strengthening design thinking.
- Ensure clearly aligned and actionable weekly objectives while addressing team challenges.
Content Writer Management
- Manage multilingual content writers supporting the product design organization.
- Ensure content writers effectively contribute within mini-Agile teams through broad product knowledge and critical thinking.
4. Job Requirements:
Experience & Team Scale
- Minimum 7+ years of proven experience in UX/UI product design.
- Demonstrated success in people management and leadership roles.
- Experience directly managing design teams of at least 10+ members.
- Experience managing UX Writers and/or Product Writers.
Technical Mastery & Enterprise Process
- Advanced hands-on expertise in Figma.
- Experience collaborating on complex Design Systems at scale.
- Deep understanding of enterprise-level product development lifecycles.
- Strong knowledge of highly optimized Design-to-Dev handoff processes.
Innovation, Collaboration & Mindset
- Strong familiarity with the evolving AI landscape in design tools.
- Proven ability to collaborate with foreign experts/expats and cross-functional leaders to evaluate technologies and upskill local teams.
- Exceptional adaptability and a flexible mindset.
- Strong commitment to daily rigor, operational discipline, and consistency as the foundation of speed and execution excellence.
Language & Nationality
- Vietnamese local national.
- Flawless native Vietnamese communication skills.
- Professional/fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Salary: Negotiable based on candidate's experience and qualifications
- Probation Period: 2 months with 100% of the official salary.

6. Working time:
- Monday – Friday: 08:00 AM – 05:30 PM (Lunch break: 12:00 PM – 01:30 PM) – Onsite.
- Saturday: 08:00 AM – 12:00 PM – Remote (Approved).
