Job Description

About Company:

  • Uni Export is a leading and pioneering supplier of wood pellets in Vietnam and Asia, with a substantial 19-years experiences.
  • Operating 5 production plants, we currently deliver a supply of over 500,000 tons of biomass energy, along with 300,000 tons of wood sawdust, wood shavings, wood powder; and more than 18,000 cubic meters of plywood annually. Together with 4 forthcoming expansion projects in the south, central highlands, and northern parts of Vietnam, our total production capacity is anticipated to reach 700,000 MT by 2024 and surpass 1,000,000 MT by 2025 for biomass energy.
  • Growing with its production capacity coupled with the global demand for sustainability, Uni Export takes the lead in obtaining certifications including SBP, FSC, GGL among others. The company has established a long-term and strong relationship with reputable conglomerates from Europe, Japan, and South Korea to provide green fuel and achieve the common goal of zero emissions.

Responsibilities:

1. MRO Procurement Operations

  • Lead and oversee daily MRO purchasing activities to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials, spare parts, services, and operational supplies.
  • Manage and monitor the end-to-end procurement process, including Purchase Requisitions (PRs), Requests for Quotation (RFQs), Purchase Orders (POs), and supplier deliveries.
  • Allocate resources and prioritize purchasing activities to support the operational requirements of plants, warehouses, and offices.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, procedures, and internal controls.

2. Supplier & Category Management

  • Develop and maintain MRO procurement strategies across key categories, including Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, Tools & Equipment, Consumables, HSE, and Maintenance Services.
  • Build and manage a reliable supplier base to ensure supply continuity, quality, and competitive pricing.
  • Conduct supplier evaluation, performance monitoring, and periodic supplier reviews.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, and Operations teams to standardize material specifications and optimize sourcing strategies.

3. Cost Optimization & Strategic Sourcing

  • Lead supplier negotiations covering pricing, commercial terms, payment conditions, warranties, and service agreements.
  • Identify and develop alternative sourcing opportunities to enhance competitiveness and mitigate supply risks.
  • Monitor market trends and pricing movements for key MRO categories.
  • Drive cost-saving initiatives, procurement efficiency programs, and value-improvement projects to achieve annual savings targets.

4. Reporting & Process Improvement

  • Prepare and present procurement performance reports and analysis to management.
  • Monitor key procurement KPIs, including PR turnaround time, on-time delivery, cost savings, supplier performance, and process compliance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes, supplier management practices, and inventory support activities.
  • Support procurement digitalization and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related fields.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in MRO Procurement, Supply Chain, or Strategic Sourcing.
  • Experience in manufacturing, wood processing, biomass energy, heavy industry, or related sectors is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of MRO materials, spare parts, maintenance services, and industrial procurement practices.
  • Knowledge of sourcing, supplier management, tendering processes, and procurement best practices.
  • Familiarity with commercial contracts, cost management, and Incoterms.
  • Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
  • Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent planning, prioritization, and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Results-driven, proactive, and continuous improvement mindset.

Working location and hours:

  • Location: Floor 2, Master Building, 41-43 Tran Cao Van Street, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
  • Time: Mon-Fri (8.00 AM - 5.00 PM) & Sat (8.00 AM - 12.00 PM - WFH available)
