The Procurement Manager role aims to ensure effective and compliant sourcing activities by managing suppliers, optimising procurement processes, and delivering cost-efficient purchasing solutions. The position supports business and operational performance by leading the sourcing team, driving cost savings, and strengthening cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the sourcing team, including workload planning, task delegation, and performance tracking
- Oversee team attendance and training schedules, and ensure corporate policies are followed
- Conduct regular check-ins with team members to ensure alignment with goals and resolve operational bottlenecks
- Prepare internal reports and updates for senior management on departmental performance and staffing needs
- Facilitate internal communication and cross-functional collaboration to ensure departmental effectiveness
- Lead end-to-end procurement for all indirect categories, including office supplies, services, maintenance contracts, tools, and equipment
- Collaborate with user departments to define requirements, scope of work, and procurement strategies
- Manage supplier identification, bidding, evaluation, negotiation, and contract finalisation
- Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and Vietnamese regulations
- Monitor supplier performance, contract execution, and service quality to ensure value delivery
- Work closely with the finance team to monitor procurement-related budgets
- Propose and deliver cost-saving initiatives, and evaluate vendors based on total cost of ownership
- Analyse market trends to ensure competitive pricing and identify sourcing opportunities
- Support Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) integration for procurement modules and Source-to-Pay (S2P) solutions, where applicable
- Establish standardised procurement procedures and documentation
- Continuously improve sourcing workflows to increase efficiency and transparency
- Prepare regular reports on sourcing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), savings, and vendor management performance
- Act as a liaison between the company and relevant stakeholders on sourcing-related matters
- Provide timely updates and recommendations to management to support strategic decisions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement or sourcing, including at least 2 years in a managerial role, preferably within a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of procurement regulations, contract management, and vendor evaluation and management
- Familiarity with indirect purchasing categories
- Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning or procurement systems, with SAP experience required
- Strong leadership and team coordination skills
- Excellent negotiation and communication abilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Proficiency in written and spoken Vietnamese and English
