Procurement Director - Agriculture

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and oversee all procurement and sourcing activities for agricultural commodities
• Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with the company's business objectives and market dynamics
• Manage end-to-end trading operations, including contract negotiation, price risk management, and supplier relationship management
• Build and maintain a robust supplier network, both domestically and internationally
• Drive cost optimization initiatives while ensuring quality, compliance, and supply chain continuity
• Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team to build organizational capability
• Monitor global commodity markets, pricing trends, and supply/demand dynamics to inform procurement decisions
• Collaborate cross-functionally with logistics, finance, legal, and operations teams
• Establish and enforce procurement policies, governance frameworks, and best practices
• Prepare and present procurement performance reports and market insights to senior management

REQUIREMENT

• Minimum 10 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, and/or trading of agricultural commodities
• Proven track record in managing large-scale procurement portfolios and commodity trading operation
• Strong understanding of global agricultural markets, supply chains, and commodity pricing mechanism
• Experience in contract negotiation, risk hedging, and supplier management
• Familiarity with relevant regulations, trade compliance, and quality standards in the agricultural sector
• Demonstrated strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing cross-functional team
• Ability to drive strategic initiatives and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
• Strong decision-making ability in fast-paced, complex, and high-stakes environments
• Proven ability to build and sustain high-performing teams with a collaborative and results-driven culture
• Strong English proficiency (both written and spoken) is required for international supplier negotiations, reporting, and stakeholder communication
