Your role purpose

  • Identify and establish partnerships with waste collectors, traders, garment factories, mills, brands, retailers, and sorting facilities that generate textile waste (pre-consumer)
  • Negotiate contracts for consistent supply of waste materials (e.g., cutting scraps, deadstock, unsold inventory, post-use garments).
  • Develop a reliable vendor base while ensuring ethical and legal compliance.

Your Essential Duties and Responsiblities

Waste Sourcing & Procurement

  • Identify, evaluate, and secure industrial or pre-consumer textile waste streams (cotton, polyester, blended fabrics) from waste collectors, traders, garment factories, mills, and industrial parks.
  • Develop supplier relationships with manufacturers, collection centers, and recyclers in Vietnam's textile hub.
  • Negotiate contracts ensuring cost-efficiency, transparency, and compliance with national regulations.

Partnerships & Circular Supply Chains

  • Collaborate with Brands, stakeholders, sustainable organizations,to match waste streams with the company technology and specific recycling solutions.
  • Work with international buyers and brands to align waste procurement with global sustainability standards.
  • Maintain a directory of licensed textile waste handlers and engage with both formal and informal sectors.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure procurement practices adhere to local waste regulations.
  • Use digital tools (e.g., T-Waste Tracker: GIZ) for monitoring, reporting, and traceability of textile waste.
  • Provide data and reporting to Global Headquarters of the company.
  • Supply Chain Quality support on training, cleaning, sorting & segregation Development in VN Market
  • Support and lead the development of a trustable efficient and loyal supply chain under company strict quality requirements.
  • Ensure raw waste inputs match technical requirements.
  • Being the primary interlocutor with supply chain.

Education & Qualification Requirements

  • Education: Degree in Supply Chain Management, Environmental Engineering, Textile Technology, or related fields.
  • Languages: Proficient in English (mandatory for global reporting & partnerships)
  • Mindset: Strategic, solutions-oriented, passionate about negotiation, sustainability, sourcing.
  • Strong personality and strong leadership skill.

Competencies required

  • Textile waste procurement & supplier management.
  • Contract negotiation & supply chain traceability.
  • Data-driven reporting & waste tracking.
  • Cross-functional stakeholder engagement.
  • Circular economy & recycling partnerships & Sustainability frameworks.
  • Regulatory compliance is a plus.

Work Experience required

  • Procurement Manager in apparel or textile manufacturing (57 years).
  • Experience working with waste collectors, global brands, local recyclers, or NGOs (e.g., IDH, GIZ, GreenID, VITAS).
  • Proven track record in waste sourcing.
  • Strong network in Vietnam's textile hubs and familiarity with export-oriented supply chain.
