Position Purpose: Process Engineer are responsible for supporting to develop implementing new products, processes, and equipment to commercialization, with focus on our Co-extrusion and Converting processes.
Organization Relationships: The Process Engineer works closely with the other operations staff and the production supervisors. This position works cooperatively with other Bemis staff.
Principle Accountabilities/Essential Functions
- Maintains and promotes a high standard of safe and clean work environment every day by educating personnel on the use of equipment, resources, procedures and policies.
- Support construction, installation, and qualification of new equipments
- Support the transfer of our Extrusion technology to our new facility. After training in this technology in TW, assist with the transfer of TW based equipment for production and R&D.
- Drive new product/processes and cost-saving projects from scale-up through product launch.
- Lead efforts to design, source, build, and install new equipment or modifications to improve quality, throughput, reduce waste, and reduce cost.
- Support Lean initiatives and be an active member on all Gemba walks and kaizen improvement projects in your area. Make sure sustainment happens for all kaizens implemented.
- Collaboration with R&D and Production teams for new product scale-up and commercialization.
- Manage Quality and regulatory compliance specifications for current and new products.
- Maintain a set of written SOP's and document process changes.
- Assist in troubleshooting and failure analysis and implement process changes to improve profitability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering preferably Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent.
- Experience: 3+ years of manufacturing and process engineering experience.
- Attention to Detail: Able to be alert in a high-risk environment; follow detailed procedures and ensure accuracy in documentation and data; carefully monitor gauges, instruments, orders, processes; concentrate on routine work details and organize and maintain a system of records.
- Commitment to Task: Able to take responsibility for actions and outcomes and persist despite obstacles; be available around the clock in case of emergency; demonstrate dependability in difficult circumstances and show a sense of urgency about getting results.

Other Requirements:
- LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to write effective and persuasive documents in Vietnamese and English. Conversational English is required.
- MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Strong mathematical acumen.
- REASONING ABILITY: Requires the Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations simultaneously in an environment in which standardization is limited.
- Applicants must possess the ability to make solid strategic decisions based on market data, customer and vendor feedback, experience, and Company direction.
- OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Requires the ability to operate a computer and keyboard, and a variety of standard business machines, such as photocopier, fax, calculator, telephone, etc. Applicants must be skilled in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Working time: Monday to Saturday, from 8:00 to 17:00 (Saturday is flexible, depending on operational demand and line manager's approval)
