About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Engineer to lead and oversee the
full engineering spectrum of our platform, with a strong focus on technical
excellence and architectural direction. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in
mortgage products, extensive experience in fintech and proptech, and a strong
ability to drive engineering strategy and execution at a global scale.
You will play a key role as a technical leader, mentor, and visionary, ensuring the
successful delivery of complex products while scaling our engineering
organization. This role requires exceptional leadership capabilities, hands-on
technical depth, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional
partners worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end engineering strategy, architecture, roadmap, and
- execution across the product ecosystem.
- Drive system design, scalability, performance, reliability, and security across
- all services.
- Provide strong technical leadership and mentorship to engineering managers,
- leads, and engineers.
- Oversee development of mortgage-related digital products and integrations
- with multiple financial and property partners.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Data, Design, Business, and Compliance
- teams to build secure, stable, and innovative solutions.
- Establish engineering best practices, processes, code quality standards, and
- governance.
- Lead and improve the engineering culture, performance, and talent
- development within the team.
- Communicate effectively with global stakeholders and leadership teams.
- Evaluate and implement emerging technologies aligned with business goals.
- Lead complex problem-solving and ensure timely delivery of key roadmap
- initiatives.
Requirements
- Minimum 15 years of hands-on engineering experience, including technical
- leadership roles.
- Proven experience as Principal Engineer / Sr. Principal / Solution Architect.
- Strong domain knowledge in API, SAAS, ERP/CRM, and Consumer web-apps
- in Fintech/Proptech
- Deep experience in architecture and system design for high-scale distributed
- systems.
- Solid expertise in multi-cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure), microservices,
- integration platforms, security, and data engineering.
- Principal Engineer (VN) 2Exceptional leadership, team management, and communication skills.
- Experience managing and growing engineering teams across regions.
- Fluent in English; working with global teams across multiple time zones.
- Vietnamese nationality strongly preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building highly complex enterprise and consumer platform
- Exposure to startup or hyper-growth environment.
- Exposure on AI and recent technologies
- Proven ability to influence senior leadership and drive strategic decisions.
