About the Role
We're looking for a Principal AI Mobile Engineer who will drive the next generation of mobile experiences for global clients at Ogilvy. You will lead the architecture, design, and implementation of cutting-edge mobile applications that integrate AI/ML, Computer Vision, and Conversational AI to create seamless, smart, and human-centric customer experiences.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hybrid space between engineering, innovation, and user experience and is excited to shape how brands engage with customers through intelligent mobile platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of AI-powered mobile applications for consumer-facing experiences (iOS, Android or cross-platform).
- Integrate AI capabilities into mobile apps, including:
- Natural Language Processing (chatbots, voice assistants)
- Image Recognition (e.g., AR try-ons, visual search)
- Generative AI (e.g., AI avatars, personalized content)
- Collaborate with designers, strategists, and creatives to prototype and ship customer-facing AI solutions.
- Serve as the technical architect for mobile innovation projects.
- Evaluate and integrate external AI services (e.g., OpenAI, Google Vertex/Gemini, Hugging Face, etc.)
- Provide technical guidance to internal and client teams on AI feasibility, constraints, and opportunities.
- Mentor and support junior developers and lead mobile engineering best practices.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of mobile app development experience, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership role.
- Proven experience in building consumer-grade apps with integrated AI/ML functionality.
- Strong proficiency in Swift, Kotlin, Flutter, or React Native.
- Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks (e.g., Core ML, TensorFlow Lite, PyTorch Mobile, MediaPipe).
- Experience with REST APIs, Firebase, GraphQL, and mobile SDK integration.
- Experience in AI use case ideation with creatives or strategy teams a plus.
- Passion for user experience and customer-centric thinking.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

- Experience working in a creative or marketing technology agency
- Familiarity with privacy & ethical considerations when deploying AI at scale.
- Exposure to AR/VR or real-time media processing (e.g., face filters, object detection).
- Participation in hackathons or innovation labs.
