Job Description

NS BlueScope Lysaght Vietnam is evolving its business model to strengthen its premium market position, accelerate growth, and expand its building solutions capability within Vietnam's highly competitive construction market.

The President, Lysaght Vietnam is a critical commercial leadership role responsible for accelerating the next phase of growth and market development for the business. Reporting to the Country President (Vietnam), the role will lead the commercial organization and drive the evolution from a traditional product-selling business toward a more solutions-led, specification-driven, and end-user-focused operating model.

The Role Will Focus On

Operating within a matrixed ASEAN environment, the role will work closely with manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, finance, engineering, and regional functional leaders to drive commercial performance, operational alignment, and long-term market growth.

This role requires a commercially strong and operationally hands-on leader who is actively engaged with customers, projects, market development, and sales execution - rather than a purely high-level strategic management profile.

What You Will Do

  • Commercial Transformation & Strategic Growth
  • Lead the repositioning of Lysaght Vietnam toward a premium, solutions-led commercial business
  • Drive sustainable revenue growth, profitability improvement, and margin expansion
  • Strengthen market differentiation through value-selling, innovation, and customer engagement
  • Develop and execute strategic growth initiatives across roofing, walling, decking, and building solutions
  • End-User & Ecosystem Engagement
  • Build strong strategic relationships across developers, consultants, EPCs, architects, contractors, and strategic project owners
  • Increase specification-led opportunities and premium project conversion
  • Strengthen Lysaght's market influence and customer engagement across key project ecosystems
  • Solution Selling & Commercial Excellence
  • Drive a stronger solution-selling and value-selling capability across the commercial organization
  • Improve project win rates through stronger specification influence and customer engagement
  • Lead innovation adoption and commercialization initiatives across Vietnam
  • Drive stronger execution discipline, accountability, and sales effectiveness
  • Building Solutions & New Business Development
  • Lead the expansion of Butler Building Solutions and future innovation-led growth platforms
  • Develop new business channels, customer opportunities, and strategic market segments
  • Expand customer penetration beyond existing repeat customer channels
  • Strengthen presence across high-value and strategic projects
  • Commercial Leadership & Capability Building
  • Lead, coach, and transform the sales, pre-sales, engineering, and customer service teams
  • Build a commercially disciplined, customer-centric, and high-performing organization
  • Strengthen execution capability and commercial leadership depth across the business
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and performance excellence
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Operational Alignment
  • Partner closely with manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, finance, safety, engineering, and regional functional teams
  • Operate effectively within a matrixed and increasingly centralized operating model
  • Align commercial priorities with operational capability, customer delivery, and business performance
  • Support broader transformation and organizational alignment initiatives across Vietnam and ASEAN
  • Financial & Business Performance
  • Deliver annual revenue, EBIT, profitability, and growth targets
  • Improve pricing realization and premium margin performance
  • Drive stronger cost discipline and operational efficiency across the business
  • Strengthen governance, accountability, and business performance visibility

What You Will Need

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, Construction, Marketing, or related discipline (Master's or MBA preferred)
  • At least 10-15years of leadership experience within: Building materials, Construction solutions, Premium industrial or project-based commercial businesses
  • Strong commercial leadership and P&L management experience
  • Proven experience in: Solution selling, Value selling, Specification selling, Project-based commercial environments, Premium brand positioning
  • Strong understanding of the construction ecosystem and specification-driven sales environment
  • Proven experience leading business transformation, commercial repositioning, or turnaround initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively within matrix and cross-functional organizations
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and customer relationship management capability
  • Experience working closely with operational and manufacturing environments
