Presales Engineer

Location: Vietnam (Hanoi or HCMC preferred)

Focus: Enterprise & MSSP Growth with Local Distributor

About the Role

We're looking for a pro-active, technically confident Pre-Sales Engineer to represent Energy Logserver across Vietnam and the wider ASEAN region.

This role is central to empowering our ASEAN distributors and driving adoption of our SIEM, SOAR, and on-prem AI technologies across corporate customers, critical infrastructure, and MSSPs.

You will act as the technical face of the brand in ASEAN region, guiding customers through evaluations, building confidence during sales cycles, and helping our distributors scale their technical capability.

Strong English skills are essential, as you will report directly to the APAC Channel Manager from HQ and collaborate with regional teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Support Distributor Growth

Work closely with our ASEAN distributors to develop technical capability and confidence.

Assist in joint pitches, deployment design, product positioning, and customer workshops.

Provide technical guidance to help win strategic enterprise and MSSP opportunities.

2. Technical Pre-Sales Excellence

Deliver product demos, PoCs, and architecture sessions around SIEM, SOAR, Infrastructure monitoring and on-prem AI.

Analyze customer use cases, architecture, and compliance requirements to recommend solutions.

Translate customer problems into clear technical proposals and deployment plans.

3. Customer Engagement Across ASEAN

Engage with customers across Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, and Singapore when required.

Support regional webinars, events, and partner campaigns with strong technical presentations.

4. Collaboration & Reporting

Provide structured feedback to the APAC Channel Manager on pipeline, customer needs, and competitive insights.

Work with product and engineering teams to relay regional feature requests.

Maintain clear documentation of PoCs, discovery findings, architecture diagrams, and use cases.

Requirements

Based in Vietnam with willingness to travel across ASEAN.

Strong English communication skills written and verbal reporting directly to APAC leadership.

Experience in cybersecurity pre-sales or SOC environments (SIEM, SOAR, EDR, IAM, or log analysis) is highly preferred.

Ability to run demos, explain architectures, and translate complex topics into practical value.

Comfortable working with distributors, partners, and MSSPs.

Self-driven, curious, and committed to learning our platform quickly.

Nice-to-Have

Experience in supporting MSSPs, MDR providers, or large enterprises in Vietnam.

Exposure to automation, correlation rules, threat feeds, or on-prem AI technologies.

Experience with solution like Splunk, Elasticsearch (ELK), Opensearch.
