Our brand, Lennor Metier Consulting, a DOLE-licensed headhunting and recruitment agency in the Philippines, is proud to partner with a global high-tech manufacturer specializing in semiconductor testing probes and electronic connectors in their search for a PR Electronic Control Design Manager based in Bc Ninh, Vietnam.

Salary Range: Up to USD 3,000 3,900

Work Setup: Office-based

Location: Bc Ninh, Vietnam

The role

You will be responsible for leading the electronic control design function for non-standard automation equipment used in high-tech manufacturing environments. You will also oversee the development of electrical control systems, manage the engineering team, and ensure the successful execution of automation projects from concept to delivery.

The position plays a critical role in driving technical excellence, establishing engineering standards, and ensuring compliance with electrical safety regulations, while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver complex automation solutions efficiently.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the electronic control design team, including work allocation, personnel development, training, and performance evaluation.
  • Oversee the design and development of electrical control systems for non-standard automation equipment used in manufacturing environments.
  • Conduct technical reviews of electrical schematics, control programs, and design documentation to ensure accuracy and engineering quality.
  • Develop and maintain electrical control design standards, module libraries, and engineering specifications to improve design efficiency and consistency.
  • Coordinate electrical engineering activities across multiple automation projects, ensuring alignment with project timelines and technical requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineering, project management, and production teams to ensure successful system integration and project delivery.
  • Provide technical leadership in resolving complex engineering challenges, including troubleshooting and on-site technical support.
  • Ensure all electrical designs comply with CE standards and electrical safety regulations.
  • Monitor and control electrical design costs and project resources to maintain project budgets while ensuring high-quality outputs.
  • Work closely with customers and stakeholders to translate technical requirements into automation solutions and support system acceptance and delivery.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in electrical control system design, particularly for non-standard automation equipment.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing engineering teams or leading technical projects.
  • Strong proficiency in PLC programming and industrial automation platforms, particularly Siemens, Mitsubishi, or Beckhoff.
  • Hands-on experience with servo motion control systems, fieldbus communication protocols, and machine vision system integration.
  • Familiarity with CE standards and electrical safety regulations applicable to industrial automation equipment.
  • Strong capabilities in technical problem-solving, solution architecture design, and system troubleshooting.
  • Ability to manage multiple engineering projects simultaneously in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and drive engineering excellence.
  • Fluency in English communication, both written and verbal.
  • Experience working with non-standard automation equipment in industries such as electronics, semiconductor, or consumer electronics manufacturing is highly preferred.
