About the Role
FPT is seeking a senior Power & Utilities Subject Matter Expert / Consulting Lead to build and grow our domain consulting capability in the Power & Utilities sector.
This role will lead customer-facing consulting activities from early engagement, discovery, assessment, solution shaping, proposal development, bidding support, and implementation advisory. The candidate will work closely with customers, sales, presales, delivery teams, solution architects, and technology teams to create practical and scalable digital transformation solutions for the Power & Utilities industry.
The ideal candidate combines strong industry knowledge, consulting experience, project delivery capability, technology understanding, business development mindset, and strong leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead consulting engagements with Power & Utilities customers from initial engagement to assessment, proposal, bidding, and implementation advisory.
- Act as the domain expert for power generation, transmission & distribution, renewable energy, and utility digital transformation.
- Conduct current-state assessments, gap analysis, requirement discovery, solution roadmap development, and business case definition.
- Work directly with customer executives, business users, engineers, IT teams, and operational teams.
- Support business development, opportunity qualification, solution shaping, proposal development, and customer presentations.
- Build FPT's Power & Utilities service offerings, consulting assets, reusable methodologies, and domain knowledge base.
- Advise customers on IT/OT convergence, SCADA, smart grid, data platforms, AI, IoT, Digital Twin, BESS, and renewable integration.
- Collaborate with solution architects and delivery teams to translate business requirements into technology solutions.
- Lead and mentor consulting teams during assessment, presales, and project delivery phases.
- Support project teams during implementation by providing domain guidance and stakeholder alignment.
Required Experience
- 10+ years of experience in Power & Utilities, energy, electrical systems, IT consulting, software implementation, or digital transformation.
- Strong experience in consulting, project management, solution implementation, or technology advisory.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas:
o Power generation
o Transmission and distribution
o Renewable energy
o Utility digital transformation
o Industrial IT / OT systems
- Experience working with large power companies, government agencies, system integrators, consulting firms, or major technology vendors.
- Experience in customer engagement, business development, proposal development, and solution consulting.
- Strong English communication skills.
- Based in Hanoi or willing to work from Hanoi.

- Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Energy Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Business, or related fields.
- MBA or business management experience.

- Relationships with power companies, government agencies, system integrators, consulting firms, or technology vendors.
- Practical experience in real-world utility transformation projects.
- Experience in consulting firms, system integrators, OEMs, or energy technology companies.
- Experience building new domain practices, service offerings, or consulting teams.
