Role Description

To develop port business by searching and widening customer networks for more port volume, ensure

sustainable business development for port in mid & long term.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree or higher, preferable maritime background
  • 5+ years prior experience in business development or marketing fields
  • Vast grain trading networks, preferable some port operations experiences
  • Excellent Customer Development & Management
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills both in Vietnamese & English
  • A proven history of successful leadership
  • Must be a strategic thinker & a have strong negotiation & deal finalization skills
  • Possess a collaborative & commercial mindset and work well as part of a team
  • Up to date on industry trends, as well as related laws and regulations
  • Ability to build & maintain strong relationships with clients and industry contacts
  • English fluency in four skills

Areas of Responsibility (AOR)

  • Mastermind port business growth strategies to meet port business goals and objectives monthly,

quarterly and yearly;

  • Build and nurture client relationships in order to continue winning new contracts for the port;
  • Negotiate new contract terms with new clients;
  • Attend relevant networking events and build industry connections in order to facilitate port business

growth;

  • Ensure that the port complies with contractual obligations as well as legal regulations;
  • Works with other department heads to determine & carry out company goals and KPIs;
  • Conduct market research, analyse to form up strategic business decisions and strategic plans;
  • Oversee branding and marketing endeavours to ensure all efforts are aligned with business goals;
  • Take a lead role in solving commercial issues that may arise;
  • Manage both internal and external customer relationships;
  • Developing the commercial strategy and the commercial direction of projects;
  • Monitor the progress of customer progression at the Port during contract time;
  • Oversee the performance of the commercial team, provide direction to the port commercial team;
  • Pursuing new business opportunities;
  • Monitoring budgeting expenses;
  • Identifying and managing commercial risks.
