Job Summary
Responsible for overall quality management within the plant, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, company standards, and IATF16949. This role oversees quality systems, processes and team performance to maintain product integrity and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage systems for quality control of incoming materials, in-process products, and final products.
- Ensure preservation of inspection and test records.
- Hold full authority to stop production when necessary to resolve quality issues.
- Take proactive measures to prevent nonconformities in systems, processes, and products.
- Verify corrective actions and ensure proper implementation.
- Control processing and delivery of nonconforming products until issues are resolved.
- Summarize quality data and communicate findings for corrective and preventive actions.
- Perform statistical process control analysis to monitor operational quality performance.
- Act as Lead Auditor for internal audits and supplier assessments.
- Communicate with suppliers and audit compliance with IATF16949 requirements.
- Implement and maintain the plant's quality system in alignment with customer requirements and Lear's Quality Policy.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in quality management with supervisory experience.
- Certifications: Professional certification in Quality Management or Six Sigma (preferred).
- Leadership Skills: Strong ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
