Our client is a top-tier footwear manufacturer, producing high-quality shoes for leading global brands. The plant manages foam-based midsoles and outsoles sourced from specialized foam suppliers, operating with a team of 200+ employees.
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Plant Director to lead and oversee the full operations of a large-scale footwear manufacturing facility. The role will be responsible for managing production, driving operational excellence, and ensuring efficient plant performance while meeting quality, cost, and delivery targets for global brands.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all plant operations, including production, quality, engineering, supply chain, and maintenance.
- Manage and develop a workforce of 200+ employees, including supervisors and department heads.
- Drive operational excellence by monitoring and improving key KPIs such as productivity, efficiency, quality, cost control, and on-time delivery.
- Work closely with global footwear brands such as Nike and Adidas to ensure compliance with their standards and production requirements.
- Lead greenfield project activities, including plant setup, operational planning, team building, and ramp-up of manufacturing operations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, local regulations, and international standards.
- Build strong relationships with government agencies and industrial zone authorities for licensing, compliance, and operational matters.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and safety standards.
- Foster a high-performance culture and ensure effective communication across all departments.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Management, or related fields.
- Proven experience in footwear manufacturing, preferably working with major international brands.
- Strong experience managing large manufacturing teams (200+ employees).
- Demonstrated experience in greenfield manufacturing projects or factory setup.
- Experience leading 24/7 production operations in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing KPIs, production planning, and operational efficiency.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working with local government authorities and industrial zone management is highly preferred.
- Fluent English communication skills.
