Plant Controller

We are currently seeking to appoint a Plant Controller for one of our clients operating a major manufacturing facility in Vietnam. Our client is an international industrial business undergoing significant growth, and this role will serve as the key finance leader responsible for all plant-level accounting, controls, and reporting.

Reporting into senior finance leadership, the Plant Controller will oversee the full accounting function for the site, ensuring compliance with local statutory requirements as well as global financial standards. The successful individual will manage the month-end close process, strengthen internal controls, oversee tax and regulatory compliance, prepare financial statements, and act as a critical link between on-site operations and corporate finance. This position also carries responsibility for developing and enhancing systems, processes, and teams to support a rapidly expanding manufacturing environment.

Core responsibilities include:

Managing all accounting and financial operations for the Vietnam plant

Maintaining books and records in accordance with US GAAP, IFRS, and local Vietnamese standards

Preparing statutory financial statements and overseeing tax filings and compliance requirements

Leading the monthly close, including inventories, accruals, reconciliations, and supporting schedules

Enhancing internal controls within a SOX-aligned environment

Partnering with auditors, advisors, and cross-functional teams on financial and operational initiatives

Building, developing, and leading the local accounting and finance team

The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Accounting or Finance and bring 10+ years of progressive experience across accounting, financial controls, and reporting. Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and Vietnamese accounting standards is essential, with CPA qualifications preferred. Manufacturing experience and prior exposure to multinational reporting environments will be highly advantageous.
