Our client is a U.S.-headquartered company specializing in the design and manufacturing of innovative footwear components for leading global footwear brands. They are seeking an experienced Planning Manager to join their sourcing team and drive production planning excellence across their manufacturing partners in Vietnam.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage production lead times to ensure on-time delivery and compliance with brand requirements.
- Monitor production schedules and identify potential delays through daily production tracking.
- Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure production plans are executed efficiently.
- Coordinate with Demand Planning, Order Management, Manufacturing, and Sourcing teams to optimize production flow.
- Track raw material readiness, production progress, quality inspection, and shipment schedules.
- Proactively identify delivery risks, escalate issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor re-production orders and ensure timely recovery of production schedules.
- Prepare regular lead time and production reports for management.
- Continuously improve lead time management processes and performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in production planning, production control, lead time management, supply chain, or manufacturing operations within the footwear or related manufacturing industry.
- Good understanding of manufacturing planning, production scheduling, capacity planning, and supplier management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Fluent English is required. Chinese is an advantage.
