Physical Design Engineer (Staff, Sr.Staff)

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Physical Design Engineer role based in Da Nang City, Vietnam. The Physical Design Engineer will be responsible for implementing and optimizing integrated-circuit layouts, including floorplanning, placement, routing, clock-tree synthesis, and timing closure. Daily activities include collaborating with logic and RTL design teams, running physical verification checks, analyzing design reports, and resolving issues related to performance, power, and area. The role also involves participating in design reviews, maintaining documentation, and working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful tape-out and manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Physical Design, including floorplanning, placement, routing, and timing closure.
• Candidates should possess skills in Physical Verification, such as DRC, LVS, and sign-off checks using industry-standard EDA tools.
• Candidates should possess skills in Logic Design and Circuit Design, with an understanding of digital circuit behavior, timing, and power.
• Candidates should possess skills in RTL Design, including interpreting and working with Verilog/VHDL and constraints for synthesis.
• Experience with ASIC/SoC design flows, EDA tools (e.g., Cadence, Synopsys, or equivalent), and industry-standard methodologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional engineering teams.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Familiarity with low-power design techniques, signal integrity, and design-for-manufacturability is beneficial.
