ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Back-end Developer, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing eCommerce websites. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement new features, ensure site performance, troubleshoot issues, and create a seamless and efficient shopping experience for our customers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, customize, and maintain Magento functionality.
- Implement new features and functionality based on business and client requirements.
- Build and extend custom Magento modules and integrations.
- Integrate third-party services and APIs, including payment gateways, shipping providers, and ERP/CRM systems.
- Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot website performance for speed, scalability, and reliability.
- Manage databases, caching (Varnish, Redis), and indexing to enhance user experience.
- Conduct ongoing maintenance, updates, and patching to ensure platform stability and security.
- Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers, product managers, and developers to translate requirements into functional solutions.
- Apply Magento security best practices to protect sensitive customer and business data.
- Stay current with Core Web Vitals (CWV), ADA, PCI compliance, and Magento security updates.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of experience in PHP backend development.
- Experience with Magento/Shopify/BigCommerce is a big plus.
- Strong proficiency in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and XML.
- Experience with third-party integrations (ERP, CRM, payment gateways).
- Knowledge of performance optimization tools and techniques (Varnish, Redis, caching).
- Solid understanding of SEO best practices for eCommerce platforms.
- Strong problem-solving skills with sharp attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
