WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING

The Performance Director will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimising the company's trading activities, ensuring operational efficiency, compliance, and profitability. This strategic position is ideal for a seasoned trading professional who possesses robust operational oversight and leadership experience. You will report to the Head of Campaign Operations and collaborate closely with the SVP of Commercial Operations and Governance to drive process improvements and align trading strategies with broader business objectives.

How will YOU contribute to the Team

Trading Operations Oversight:

• Oversee end-to-end media trading processes, including planning, execution, and optimisation of media buys across various channels.
• Conduct comprehensive reviews of the company's end-to-end trading workflows.
• Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement, automation, and risk mitigation.

Capability Assessment:

• Evaluate the trading team's skillset, structure, and operational efficiency.
• Provide recommendations for training, resourcing, and performance enhancement to ensure the team remains competitive and effective.

Strategic Collaboration:

• Work closely with the SVP of Commercial Operations and Governance to ensure trading activities align with company policies and broader business goals.
• Performance and Risk Management:
• Monitor key trading metrics and analyse performance trends.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal governance frameworks.
• Reporting and Insights:
• Deliver regular updates and analytical insights to the CFO/COO.
• Support informed strategic and financial decision-making through data-driven recommendations.

Governance and Compliance:

• Ensure all trading activities adhere to internal controls and external compliance requirements.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR

• Experience: 15+ years experience in Trading Operations, Trading Strategy, or a related commercial role.
• Expertise:
• Strong hands-on experience across major digital advertising platforms, including Google Ads, Meta Ads, TikTok, and leading programmatic DSPs.
• Proven ability to optimise pricing and performance to ensure competitive media buying rates and maximise campaign efficiency.
• Leadership: Proven track record of:
• Demonstrated experience in guiding, coaching, and upskilling Campaign Operations teams and traders on advanced platform strategies and performance-driven optimisation tactics.
• Strong ability to troubleshoot technical issues across multiple advertising platforms.
• Proven capability in managing teams and overseeing day-to-day operational excellence.
• Active contributor to pricing and commercial strategy initiatives.
• Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical abilities with a keen eye for detail.
• Communication: Strong leadership and communication skills, capable of engaging with senior leadership (C-level or equivalent) in fast-paced or global environments.
• Strategic Mindset: Ability to think strategically and align trading operations with overall business objective.
