PCB Layout Engineer (Altium)

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Perform PCB layout for 48 layer boards for electronic products, including power, digital and high-speed sections in accordance with project requirements.
• Collaborate with Mechanical and Schematic teams to review and optimize component placement, stack-up, and constraints.
• Define and configure comprehensive Design Rules in Altium: clearance, creepage, trace width, differential pairs, impedance, polygons, vias, pads, HDI where required.
• Implement layout for functional blocks including:

+ Power supplies: buck converters, PMICs, LDOs, DC-DC converters.

+ MCU/SoC, SOM, FPGA modules.

+ High-speed interfaces such as USB 2.0/3.x, HDMI, MIPI CSI/DSI (C-PHY, D-PHY), RGMII, MDI, and similar.

• Work with PCB manufacturers to finalize stack-up, tolerances and impedance control requirements.
• Generate manufacturing deliverables: Gerber files, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, BOMs; support manufacturing and resolve DFM/DFT issues.
• Participate in design reviews (placement review, routing review, EMI/EMC review).
• Improve and maintain layout standards, templates and component footprint libraries.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, Automation, or related field.
• At least 2 years of PCB layout experience using Altium Designer (or equivalent tools).
• Proficient in 48 layer PCB layout; experience with 1012 layeror more designs is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of:

+ Basic EMI/EMC rules and layout techniques.

+ Controlled-impedance design, differential pair routing and length matching.

+ High-speed routing for interfaces (USB 3.0, HDMI, MIPI, Ethernet).

+ Plane splitting, return path management, stitching vias and grounding techniques.

• Good schematic reading skills and ability to collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize placement.
• Understanding of PCB/PCBA manufacturing processes and DFM/DFT considerations.
• Detail-oriented, logical thinker and able to work to deadlines.
