ROLE PURPOSE
As part of Marou's E-commerce team, the Paid Acquisition Specialist owns new-customer growth across Marou's global markets from Vietnam to France, Singapore, and other export territories.
This is a creative-led performance role, not a pure media-buying function: beyond managing campaigns and budgets, the Specialist drives growth through strong creative direction, trend awareness, and a sharp sense of what makes people stop and buy.
The focus is on performance, creativity, and scale, measured on customer acquisition cost, new-customer ROAS, and profitable growth across markets.
Over time, this role is designed to expand from paid acquisition toward broader growth ownership (retention, CRM, and loyalty), on a path to a Growth Lead position within two years.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY
Paid media strategy & planning
- Define and own the global paid acquisition strategy across all markets
- Set and manage acquisition budgets and targets by market and channel, tied to CAC and new-customer ROAS goals.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute paid go-to-market campaigns when entering or scaling into new territories, including marketplace and food-delivery platforms.
Acquisition execution (platforms & marketplaces)
- Build and scale prospecting campaigns on Meta to drive new-customer growth.
- Manage Google acquisition campaigns to capture and create new demand.
- Run TikTok and emerging-channel acquisition campaigns where commercially relevant.
- Plan, launch, and optimize marketplace and food-delivery campaigns on Amazon, Shopee, Lazada/RedMart, and GrabFood — keyword ads, product ads, banners, and voucher campaigns.
- Optimize product listings, keywords, bidding strategies, and creative variants to improve marketplace ROAS.
- Continuously test audiences, placements, and bidding across channels to lower CAC and scale spend profitably.
Acquisition creative & conversion
- Brief and iterate on acquisition-focused creative (hooks, UGC, video, static) by market and platform.
- Spot and act on platform trends, formats, and cultural moments to keep acquisition creative fresh and relevant.
- Partner with the creative team to keep a steady pipeline of fresh cold-audience creative.
- Collaborate with e-commerce/web on landing pages and funnels to maximize new-visitor conversion (CRO).
Measurement & optimization
- Use existing dashboards (BI, Excel, GA4) to monitor performance and report weekly/monthly on new-customer growth.
- Read performance data to make optimization decisions on budget, audiences, and creative.
- Coordinate with the analytics/tech team on tracking needs.
Creative & cross-functional collaboration
- Align acquisition activity with the commercial calendar alongside retail, B2C, and marketing teams.
- Manage relationships with external agencies, freelancers, and platform account managers when relevant.

- Able to read GA4, dashboards and turn data into clear optimization decisions.
- Understanding of how tracking works (pixels, Conversion API, GA4).
- Multi-market budget management discipline and a CAC/ROAS-driven mindset.
- Organized, proactive, and capable of working independently across time zones
PREFERABLE REQUIREMENTS
- Experience in advertising for D2C, e-commerce, or Shopify-based brands.
