Work Location: Vietnam or Cambodia
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Business Partnership & Organizational Effectiveness
- Partner closely with manufacturing plant leadership to deliver practical, end-to-end HR solutions aligned with local labor regulations and cultural nuance to drive business goals.
- Oversee daily HR operations at overseas production bases. Lead key initiatives including organizational diagnostics, talent reviews, succession planning, and employee incentive programs to solve organizational pain points.
- Continuously iterate and refine local HR policies, workflows, and guidelines to enhance operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.
2. Cross-Cultural Communication & Employee Relations
- Establish robust communication mechanisms between Chinese management, local management, and frontline staff to promote two-way transparency and mutual trust.
- Serve as the cultural bridge between Group HQ and Southeast Asian plants, actively resolving cross-cultural misunderstandings and execution bottlenecks.
- Oversee local labor relations, proactive employee communications, and risk management to ensure stable, compliant operations.
3. Local Talent Pipeline & Capabilities Building
- Focus on identifying, developing, and retaining local middle management and high-potential talent to build a strong local succession pipeline.
- Actively participate in local talent recruitment and management trainee initiatives to establish a sustainable talent pipeline across Southeast Asia.
- Adapt corporate guidelines to local market practices by designing and optimizing mid-to-long-term incentive schemes to energize the local workforce.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree or above with 5+ years of relevant HRBP experience. Prior overseas HRBP experience in a manufacturing setting is highly preferred.
2. Business fluency in English for seamless daily communication with both HQ and local teams.
3. Willingness to be based long-term in Southeast Asia (Vietnam or Cambodia).
4. Core Competencies:
- Strong business acumen and cross-cultural adaptability; capable of driving HR solutions from a business/operational perspective and code-switching seamlessly between expat and local teams.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, high resilience, strong logical reasoning, and a proven track record of diagnosing organizational issues and driving end-to-end execution.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves)
- Basic proficiency in Vietnamese or Khmer is a strong plus (not mandatory).
- Background in apparel/textiles or general manufacturing industries.
- In-depth knowledge of Southeast Asian labor laws, social security, and visa/work permit policies.
