Role Overview
A leading multinational manufacturing company - specializing in material science - is looking for a new Operations Manager for their manufacturing site in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. This role oversees Production, Supply Chain, GPD, Maintenance, and EHS, ensuring delivery against safety, quality, cost, service, and productivity targets.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Performance
* Own site operational results across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and efficiency.
* Lead day-to-day operations across multiple shifts, ensuring stable and safe production.
* Drive site-wide continuous improvement initiatives and long-term operational transformation.
* Lead major improvement projects, including planning, budgeting, execution, and control.
* Define and deploy operational strategies covering safety, quality, cost, inventory, training, and service levels.
* Ensure compliance with EHS, legal, and corporate standards; safety is a nonnegotiable priority.
* Establish and track KPIs to drive operational and business performance.
* Support annual operating plans and capacity/resource planning.
* Oversee product sampling deployment and delivery speed/quality across multiple technologies.
* Ensure adherence to ISO 9000 and relevant quality management systems.
People Leadership & Talent Development
* Lead, coach, and develop cross-functional operations teams.
* Ensure performance goals are clearly defined, communicated, and reviewed regularly.
* Drive talent attraction, retention, and development, including high-potential identification.
* Act as a role model for ethical leadership, values, and change management.
* Foster a collaborative, accountable, and results-driven culture.
* Manage organizational planning, staffing, performance reviews, and development needs.
Experience & Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
* Minimum 5+ years of manufacturing/operations experience, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
* Proven track record managing multi-function manufacturing operations.
* Strong knowledge of modern manufacturing systems and continuous improvement methodologies.
* Solid financial and business acumen within a manufacturing environment.
* Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
* Excellent execution, project management, and organizational capabilities.
* Fluent in English; Chinese language skills are an advantage.
