Build the Operation from Day One
A well-established international manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead the setup and daily operations of a newly established production facility in Tay Ninh.
This is a rare opportunity to build operational standards from the ground up—establishing SOPs, performance KPIs, quality systems, and efficient workflows while working closely with regional leadership in a fast-growing environment.
We're looking for someone who enjoys solving operational challenges, leading factory teams, and creating scalable processes rather than simply maintaining existing systems.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Factory Operations
- Manage daily manufacturing operations to ensure productivity, quality, delivery, and workplace safety targets are achieved.
- Provide hands-on leadership for production and support functions across the factory.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve operational issues and improve overall factory performance.
Build Systems & Drive Performance
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across key operational functions.
- Establish and monitor factory KPIs, including productivity, quality, delivery, and efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime, eliminate waste, and improve operational performance.
Compliance & Operational Excellence
- Ensure readiness for internal and external audits.
- Drive corrective actions and maintain compliance with local regulations and industry standards.
- Strengthen operational governance through structured reporting and performance tracking.
Support Growth
- Help build the operational foundation for future production expansion.
- Collaborate with regional stakeholders to align local execution with business objectives.
- Support the implementation of new operational processes and systems as the factory grows.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 6+ years of management experience in manufacturing operations.
- Open to candidates from any manufacturing industry, with experience in garment, textile, footwear, or related industries considered a strong advantage.
- Proven experience leading factory operations, implementing SOPs, and driving operational KPIs.
- Strong knowledge of factory compliance, audits, and continuous improvement.
- Fluent Vietnamese with professional proficiency in English or Chinese.
Preferred
- Experience with ERP systems such as Dynamics 365, SAP, or similar.
- Experience in a greenfield factory, startup operation, or newly established manufacturing site.
- Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement experience.
Why This Opportunity
- Lead the operational setup of a new manufacturing facility.
- Work directly with senior regional leadership.
- Shape factory processes, culture, and performance from the beginning.
- Strong long-term career growth within an expanding international business.
Ideal Profile
You're a hands-on factory leader who enjoys being on the production floor, building systems, coaching teams, and creating measurable improvements in productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.
