Position Context: The person developing this function will be the main figure in the Vehicle Quality Validation department for the management of all testing & validation activities related with the following complete vehicle attributes: NVH & Buzz, Squeak and rattle.
Position Responsibilities
- To lead the technical definition of the validation plan for the vehicle requirements related with NVH & Buzz, Squeak and rattle; following the program's DVP and VTS guidance.
- To allocate the testing activities for the mentioned attributes, deciding if the activity can be performed in House or needs to be outsourced.
- In case that the activity needs to outsourced:
- to lead the contact with the external testing suppliers, aiming for an agreement about cost and time that matches the program requirements.
- To track and support the testing performance, coordinating with the Program Quality managers and any other stakeholder to provide the support required to keep the testing activity in expected time and form
- In case that the activity can be performed in House:
- To make sure that the in House resources (equipment, facilities, manpower) will be available for the planned testing date.
- To coordinate his team of Testing Lead Engineers and any other required support to ensure the execution, as per agreed testing standards, in the expected time frame.
- For any of the 2 cases (in-House or outsourced testing):
- To analyze the test reports and give assessment
- To identify any issue out of the testing and trigger the Problem Solving process through JIRA

- To provide a technical risk assessment, in case that the issue cannot be solved and a deviation needs to be raised.
- To systematically increase the InHouse testing capabilities regarding the mentioned attributes:
- Expanding the internal equipment and facilities.
- Organizing the technical training needed for the team to perform and master the testing.
- Cooperating with Attribute department for the definition and upgrade of testing standards
- Ensuring a robust ramp up on the operation of the new implemented facilities
- Reinforcing the internal collaboration with CTF and EEQ teams, increasing the testing possibilities
Requirements
- Education/ Professional knowledge: Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineer or equivalent work experience (5+ years) with solid knowledge in automotive development and validation.
- Skill, Experience:
- CANoe, INCA tools skills needed
- NVH Software like AtermiS Suite, LMS Testlab skills needed
- NVH Instruments likes Scadas mobiles, Squadriga III, Headlab moudules skills needed
- Solid background in vehicle architecture, with focus on interior, exterior, BiW, chassis and powertrain systems.
- Experienced in DVP and overall validation strategies for NVH & BSR. Good knowledge of testing standards for these domains.
- Good skills for subjective assessment of the vehicle, with focus on NVH (wind noise, road noise, PWT noise, operational noise) and squeak and rattle identification.
- Experience working with external global testing suppliers
- Leadership skills, capacity to motivate and lead and efficiently organize activities of own team of engineers.
- Excellent communication skills, capability of synthesis and identification of important topics and their relevance.
- Capable to deal with challenging time plans.
