I. Timeline Management
- Build the Technology Roadmap in collaboration with Module Directors and New Platform/New Technology Experts.
- Monitor and update the technology list; coordinate cross-functional research activities.
- Define and align the schedule for technology evaluation and validation with relevant stakeholders.
- Organize internal technology review sessions with key leaders (Head of Module Development Institute, Module Directors, Function Heads, Technology Roadmap & Product Optimization Director, Platform/New Technology Experts).
II. Quality & Technical Excellence Technical Documents
- Research potential technologies applicable to electric vehicles; continuously track global trends and emerging innovations in the automotive industry.
- Assess technology maturity, production scalability, and commercialization readiness.
- Benchmark proposed technologies against competitors and market-leading solutions to ensure competitive advantage.
- Analyze benefits, costs, and risks to prioritize investment and development direction.
- Develop the Technology Roadmap and ensure alignment with long-term platform strategies.
- Propose new technology initiatives or platform development programs, including high-level technical documentation and business cases.
- Organize internal technical committees for technology evaluation and approval.
- Standardize and maintain the new technology update process across the organization.
- Maintain a database/dashboard of new technologies and their evaluation status.
- Ensure full traceability from technology ideation to approval and implementation.
- Collaborate with the Feature List Lead Engineer to integrate approved technologies into the Master Feature List when applicable.
BOM
- Evaluate BOM cost impact for new technologies.
Integration, Testing & Validation
- Assess feasibility of new technologies across platforms and architectures with Module Directors and New Platform/New Technology Experts.
- Quantify expected benefits (cost reduction, efficiency improvement, product differentiation).
- Track post-implementation effectiveness of approved technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or related technical fields.
- 5+ years of experience in R&D, Technology Strategy, Product Planning, or relevant roles within the automotive or high-tech industry.
- Strong understanding of EV technologies, product development processes, and technology maturity evaluation.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess technical feasibility, costbenefit, and competitive benchmarking.
- Strong communication and cross-functional coordination skills; ability to work with multiple technical stakeholders.
- Fluent in English.
