Network Security Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a Network Security Engineer to design, implement, and operate security solutions that protect the organization's network infrastructure, cloud platforms, and business systems. This role is responsible for securing on-premise and cloud environments, managing Microsoft security solutions, and responding to cyber threats to ensure a resilient and compliant IT environment.

Job Description:

· Design, implement, and maintain security controls across networks, systems, applications, and data.

· Define security architecture for new systems, applications, and cloud platforms.

· Deploy, manage, and optimize security tools such as Firewalls, SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, and VPNs.

· Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and best practices.

· Monitor, analyze, and investigate security alerts, logs, and incidents.

· Lead or support incident response, including containment, root cause analysis, and recovery.

· Implement and manage Microsoft security solutions (Defender, Sentinel, Azure AD, Intune, M365).

· Secure Microsoft 365 and Azure environments using identity, access control, MFA, and cloud security policies.

· Conduct security audits, risk assessments, and ensure compliance with industry standards (ISO, NIST, PCI-DSS, GDPR, etc.).

· Manage vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, patching, and security awareness across the organization.

Job Specification:

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or equivalent experience.

· 3–5 years of experience in Cyber Security, IT Security, or related technical roles.

· Hands-on experience with Microsoft security technologies (Microsoft 365, Defender, Azure AD, Microsoft Sentinel).

· Experience with incident response, vulnerability management, and threat detection.

· Knowledge of security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, or CIS.

· Strong understanding of network security, firewalls, VPNs, encryption, operating systems, and cloud security.

Preferred Qualifications

· Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, or Microsoft Security/Azure Security.

· Experience with PowerShell or security automation.

· Knowledge of threat hunting, malware analysis, and APTs.

· Experience securing cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).

· Experience with SIEM, SOAR, or security orchestration tools.
