This role ensures the reliability, scalability, and performance of global enterprise networks that support critical applications, business systems, and hybrid workloads. The Network Engineer will also drive infrastructure automation, connectivity optimization, and operational excellence across multiple environments.
Responsibilities:
Network Architecture & Implementation
Design, configure, and manage AWS networking components including VPCs, subnets, routing tables, security groups, Direct Connect, Site-to-Site VPNs, and Transit Gateways ensuring secure hybrid connectivity.
Implement and maintain AWS Load Balancers (NLB, ELB, ALB) to deliver highly available and fault-tolerant applications.
Configure and maintain Juniper Firewalls, Cisco ASA, and Cisco Switches in on-premise environments to ensure secure segmentation, routing efficiency, and redundancy.
Manage Ruckus Access Points for corporate wireless networks, ensuring strong signal coverage, authentication integration, and VLAN segmentation.
Deploy and optimize Nginx reverse proxies and load-balancing services for web and application traffic.
Integrate CDN providers (Cloudflare, EdgeNext, CDNetworks) to improve global content delivery, DNS performance, and edge-level security. Network Optimization, Performance & Monitoring
Conduct end-to-end performance analysis to identify and resolve network bottlenecks, latency issues, or connectivity drops across cloud and on-prem environments.
Implement proactive monitoring and alerting systems using tools such as AWS CloudWatch, SNMP, and NetFlow to ensure high availability and service continuity.
Optimize bandwidth utilization, route performance, and traffic balancing across global links and VPN tunnels.
Automate provisioning and configuration management of network resources using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) integrated with GitLab pipelines for version control and CI/CD automation.
Security, Connectivity & Reliability
Implement and maintain secure connectivity between cloud and on-premise systems using Connexa VPN and OpenVPN solutions, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
Manage and maintain firewall rules, NAT configurations, and network ACLs across Juniper, Cisco ASA, and AWS Security Groups.
Collaborate with the Security Engineering team to strengthen perimeter defense including Cloudflare WAF, EdgeNext DDoS protection, and CDN security policies.
Ensure high availability and failover readiness for hybrid environments by applying multi-region routing, health checks, and redundancy configurations. Collaboration, Documentation & Continuous Improvement
Collaborate closely with Systems, Security, and DevOps teams to build cohesive, scalable, and secure network infrastructures.
Maintain detailed and updated documentation including network topology diagrams, runbooks, change logs, and configuration repositories.
Participate in network capacity planning, audits, and post-incident reviews to continuously improve reliability and security posture. Contribute to automation initiatives and introduce best practices for performance tuning, scalability, and infrastructure resilience.
