Job Description in Detail:
Lead and manage the engineering team for our client in Vietnam with a strong emphasis on hands-on technical leadership. The role requires active participation in designing, developing, and maintaining in-house IT systems and applications that support daily operations and project delivery. This position combines technical leadership, building and mentoring a high-performing technical team, and solution architecture to deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure solutions. The Engineering Manager will also represent OUR CLIENT IN Vietnam in global initiatives and drive innovation through modern engineering practices and AI-powered automation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership & People Management
- Manage and mentor a team of 10-15 engineers across multiple projects.
- Conduct resource planning, performance reviews, and career development.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Project & Delivery Management
- Oversee project planning, sprint management, and backlog prioritization using Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Ensure timely delivery of in-house IT systems and applications aligned with business needs.
- Provide delivery assurance, risk management, and escalation support.
Technical Oversight
- Lead architecture and design for backend and frontend systems.
- Ensure robust infrastructure leveraging Blazor, Kubernetes, and Azure Services.
- Oversee CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, enforce code quality via SonarQube, and manage containerization with Kubernetes.
- Ensure API development and testing using Postman.
- Apply AI-driven tools for code analysis, test automation, and performance optimization.
Solution Consulting
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Provide technical leadership during pre-sales and delivery phases.
- Support scope definition, estimation, and resource planning for engineering opportunities.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Champion modern engineering practices, including microservices, cloud-native development, and DevOps.
- Drive adoption of automation and AI-powered tools to improve productivity and quality.
- Contribute to reusable frameworks and accelerators for engineering.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or related field.
- 69 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Full-Stack C#/.NET Engineer with strong expertise in:
- Language: C#, CSS
- Backend: Kubernetes, DAPR, .NET Core, RESTful APIs, SQL Server (stored procedures)
- Frontend: Blazor (or react/Vue), CSS frameworks
- Tools: Docker/Postman Desktop, Postman, SonarQube, Azure DevOps (Pipelines, Repository, Board)
- Familiarity with Agile and DevOps (or GitOps) practices.
- Knowledge of security and compliance standards for enterprise systems.
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).
KEY COMPETENCIES
