Responsibilities:
Analyze and understand existing VB.NET codebases, focusing on business logic and functionalities.
Translate VB.NET code into clean, well-structured Java code using Spring frameworks (Spring Boot preferred).
Design and document detailed design specifications for the converted Java code, ensuring maintainability and scalability.
Develop and implement unit tests for the converted Java code to guarantee code quality and reliability.
Collaborate with the development team to understand business requirements and ensure the converted code meets those needs.
Qualifications:
o 2-4 years of experience as a Java developer with a solid understanding of core Java concepts (OOP, collections, concurrency, etc.)
o Experience working with Spring frameworks (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, etc.)
o Familiarity with unit testing frameworks like JUnit and Mockito is a plus.
o Strong understanding of relational databases (SQL) and potentially NoSQL databases.
o Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
o Ability to read, understand, and translate VB.NET code effectively ( can be train )
o Effective communication and collaboration skills to work seamlessly across teams.
o Eagerness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing requirements.
o Prior experience working with Japanese customers is a plus.
o English required (TOEIC = 600 or equivalent).
o Japanese skill is a plus
