The Micro Insurance & New Business Manager will be responsible for driving growth of micro insurance products and developing new business opportunities in Vietnam. This role focuses on building strategic partnerships, especially within the e-commerce and digital ecosystem, to expand access to affordable and innovative insurance solutions for underserved segments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development & Partnership Management
- Identify, develop, and manage strategic partnerships with e-commerce platforms, digital payment providers, and other relevant ecosystems.
- Drive end-to-end partnership lifecycle from prospecting, negotiation, onboarding, to post-launch performance management.
- Explore cross-selling opportunities and new distribution models to expand market reach.
- Ensure product competitiveness through continuous improvement of customer experience and pricing strategy.
- Develop and execute business plans to achieve sales and revenue targets.
- Monitor performance metrics (sales, conversion, retention, claim ratios) and propose improvement strategies.
- Prepare regular performance reports and insights for management review.
- Leadership & Stakeholder CollaborationStakeholder
- Work closely with internal departments (product & tech, marketing, operations) to ensure smooth execution of partnership initiatives.
- Collaborate with regional teams to replicate and adapt successful business models across markets.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and local partners to ensure compliance with insurance laws and guidelines.
- Support team development and knowledge sharing on digital partnership and e-commerce strategies.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in insurance, fintech, or e-commerce partnerships.
- Strong understanding of micro insurance, digital distribution models, and online consumer behavior.
- Proven track record in partnership acquisition, business negotiations, and project management.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Vietnamese (both written and verbal).
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience working with digital platforms or marketplaces (e.g., Shopee, Lazada, Grab, etc)
- Background in launching or managing embedded insurance products.
- Familiarity with the Vietnamese insurance regulatory framework
