I. Main Responsibilities
Procurement Management:
- Source and purchase grocery and daily food items from qualified suppliers.
- Negotiate contracts, evaluate supplier performance, and ensure product quality and availability.
Profit & Performance Optimization:
- Manage pricing, cost control, and profit margins.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to drive category growth and optimize profitability.
Inventory & Quality Control:
- Monitor inventory to prevent overstock or shortage situations.
- Implement quality control standards and ensure food hygiene and safety compliance.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead and mentor the MD team, set performance goals, and conduct regular evaluations.
- Foster teamwork and ensure alignment with company objectives.
Supplier & Market Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
- Conduct market research to understand consumer trends and competitor activities, ensuring competitive product offerings.
Compliance & Budget Control:
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards, company policies, and legal regulations.
- Manage departmental budgets, allocate resources efficiently, and report financial performance.
Customer Satisfaction:
- Ensure consistent product quality, availability, and pricing to enhance customer experience.
Other Duties:
- Perform other tasks as assigned by Line Manager.
II. Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, or related field.
- Strong understanding of retail operations and FMCG market.
- At least 5 years of experience in the food industry, with 4 years in FMCG or retail.
- Proven track record in managing Daily Foods category or similar product groups.
- Strong merchandise planning and data analysis skills.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities effectively.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and highly responsible.
- Strong sense of ownership and commitment to results.
