Position Description:
The #Electrical or #Mechanical#MEP #BIM Modeler is responsible for developing detailed and coordinated 3D models of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems using Revit. The role supports the design and construction process by translating 2D drawings and markups into accurate BIM models. The position requires close collaboration with engineers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure that models are consistent with project requirements and BIM standards.
Responsibilities:
- Create coordinated 3D BIM models of MEP systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, electrical) using Revit based on detailed 2D design drawings, markups, and consultant files.
- Generate high-quality views, sheets, and visualizations to support design optimization and construction planning.
- Collaborate with engineers and project teams in developing detailed design and construction drawing packages.
- Assist in the preparation of as-built models, construction documentation, and related deliverables.
- Coordinate with internal and external disciplines to ensure proper model integration and system alignment.
- Implement and follow company/project BIM standards, templates, and protocols.
- Conduct regular model quality checks for accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
- Support model adjustments and troubleshooting as required during design revisions and coordination.
- Provide technical input and feedback to consultants, engineers, and designers for model refinement.
- Modify CAD and BIM files for cleanup, auditing, and reference management.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of Revit families and BIM libraries relevant to MEP systems.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by immediate supervisor that support the goals and values of the organization.
Requirement:
- Revit Expertise: Advanced, hands-on proficiency in Autodesk Revit for MEP modeling.
- MEP Systems Knowledge: Practical understanding of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection systems.
- Collaboration Skills: Ability to work effectively with engineers and multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience: 5-10 years of relevant MEP BIM modeling experience
- Detail-Oriented: Focus on accuracy, quality checks, and adherence to BIM standards.
- Communication: Professional English communication. Cross border working experience is plus.
