About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Memory CAD Engineer to join our dynamic team at Faraday Technology. In this role, you will be pivotal in driving design automation efficiency by developing robust in-house tools and seamlessly integrating third-party solutions. You will collaborate closely with circuit design teams and engineers worldwide, requiring excellent communication skills and a solid understanding of memory design principles (SRAM/ROM).

Key Responsibilities

• Tool Development & Automation: Design, develop, and implement memory design automation utilities to streamline the SRAM and ROM design flows.
• System Integration: Integrate third-party EDA tools into the internal design environment, ensuring high-quality, automated workflows.
• Maintenance & Support: Maintain, debug, and enhance existing in-house CAD tools to ensure reliability and performance.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Circuit Design team to verify tool functionality, troubleshoot complex issues, and gather requirements for new features.
• Innovation: Explore and implement modern methodologies, including the use of Agentic AI, to accelerate project delivery and tool creation.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience working within a Linux operating system environment.
• Scripting & Programming:

+ Proficiency in writing and debugging Shell scripts.

+ Strong familiarity with at least one programming language such as C/C++, Tcl, Perl, or Python.

• Domain Knowledge: Basic understanding of SRAM and ROM functionality and memory design concepts.
• Communication: Fluent written and spoken English communication skills; able to collaborate effectively with global teams.
• Soft Skills: Self-motivated with a strong teamwork attitude; capable of working effectively with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications (Plus)

• Hands-on experience with EDA tools (e.g., Circuit Simulators like HSPICE/Spectre, LPE tools, Layout Editors like Virtuoso, or Schematic Editors).
• Experience or strong interest in using Agentic AI frameworks to build and automate engineering projects.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and software development best practices.
