Summary
Responsible for end-to-end vendor management for Exclusive Medicines, including regulatory coordination, vendor evaluation, commercial negotiation, and contract execution to ensure compliant and sustainable partnerships. The role also ensures accurate forecasting and long-term planning for both existing and new exclusive medicine pipelines.
Responsibilities
1. Category & Private Label Management
- Manage assigned Medicine Private Label category, including assortments, new products, sales, profit then develop and implement action plans to grow the category based on strategy.
- Monitor and analyze category and SKU performance (sales, margin, contribution, sell-out trends).
- Identify opportunities to optimize category performance and improve commercial results.
- Ensuring sustainable forecast & planning for Existing and New Exclusive Medicine Pipeline.
- Monitor inventory health, fill-rate, out-of-stock (OOS) and lost sales for all Private Label SKUs.
2. Supplier Management
- Conduct comprehensive vendor portfolio and capability evaluations to ensure long term partnership suitability.
- Finalize commercial terms and manage contract negotiation and execution with selected vendors.
- Work daily with suppliers in terms of stock/pricing/promotion/branding.
3. Pricing & Promotion Execution
- Execute pricing strategy in line with brand positioning, market competitiveness and management guidelines.
- Monitor price competitiveness and propose adjustments when required.
4. Cross-functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with Demand Planning and Supply Chain teams on forecasting and purchase order planning to ensure inventory accuracy and minimize risks of overstock or stock-out.
- Collaborate with the Regulatory Affairs Department on initial vendor screening and regulatory assessment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- 4+ years of experience in category or product management, ideally within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
- Solid understanding of category management and commercial performance.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in SKU and inventory management.
- Quick learning, willing to take up challenges.
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
- Able to work independently, possess a high level of responsibility and commitment.
