About The Role
We are looking for a hands-on Mechanical Technician to join our Maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the safe, stable, and reliable operation of production equipment and utility systems. You will support preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, equipment commissioning, and continuous improvement activities to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Role Responsibilities
- Perform daily mechanical maintenance activities for production equipment and facility systems.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and troubleshoot issues to minimize production downtime.
- Execute preventive maintenance plans to improve equipment reliability and performance.
- Monitor equipment condition and identify potential issues before failures occur.
- Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring issues.
- Support equipment commissioning, handover, and maintenance readiness during ramp-up activities.
- Work closely with engineers to understand maintenance requirements and improve equipment performance.
- Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of utility systems, including compressed air, cooling systems, and wastewater treatment (WWT).
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and promote safe working practices.
- Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and QA teams to support operational goals and continuous improvement initiatives
What You'll Need
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 2–5 years of maintenance experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in process-based industries such as plastics, polymers, foam manufacturing, or similar sectors is an advantage.
- Strong mechanical knowledge, including experience with Hydraulic Power Unit (HPU) systems.
- Experience in preventive maintenance and equipment troubleshooting.
- Ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance challenges
