About PT Lab: PT Lab is an innovation lab pushing the boundaries of robotics, embodied AI, and hardware solutions to create value for Vietnam and the world. We're building a brilliant, agile team to develop cutting-edge projects—from smart physiotherapy devices to high-fidelity teleoperation systems and next-gen delivery drones. Our work is hands-on, fast-paced, and driven by a mission to turn bold ideas into reality. If you thrive in an environment where creativity, ownership, and technical excellence are paramount, PT Lab is the place for you.
A Mechanical Engineer at PT Lab will own the design, prototyping, and iteration of mechanical systems for our flagship projects. You'll work on everything from drone airframes to precision physiotherapy devices, turning concepts into functional prototypes and production-ready designs. This role is for builders—engineers who love to see their designs come to life and are obsessed with solving real-world problems.
You Will:
- Own the end-to-end mechanical design of robotics systems, including drones, teleoperation devices, and physiotherapy hardware.
- Prototype rapidly—design, build, test, and iterate in a fast-changing environment. Failure is an option; not learning from it is not.
- Perform hands-on analysis using CAD, FEA, and hand calculations to validate designs for performance, durability, and manufacturability.
- Collaborate closely with electronics and software are engineers to integrate mechanical systems with embedded hardware and control algorithms.
- Lead design reviews and work directly with suppliers, workshops, and manufacturers (especially in Vietnam and China) to bring designs to production.
- Take extreme ownership of your projects, from early concept to testing, deployment, and refinement.
- Drive innovation by exploring advanced materials (e.g., composites) and manufacturing techniques to push the limits of what's possible.
- Work in an agile, cross-functional team where your ideas directly shape the future of PT Lab's technology.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
- 1+ years of hands-on experience driving the design and development of mechanical components or systems (internship and project team experience is applicable)
- 1+ year experience with CAD and FEA software packages(SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Ansys, NX, or similar).
- Hands-on experience fabricating and testing mechanical components—you've built things, broken them, and made them better.
- Portfolio or evidence of excellence—show us your projects, whether it's drones, robotics, or other hardware innovations.
- Fluency in English—our team is international, and collaboration is key.
