In this role, you will be working in the Production Controls business and you will develop products and provide solutions to meet client deliverables in the Subsea projects portfolio. You will utilise your experience and expertise to develop subsea products to effect short-term and long-term business goals.
The engineer shall support offshore operations and workshop activities including technical documentation, investigations and solutions.
Specific Task Responsibilities:
- Engagement with relevant stakeholders (internal and external) developing and maintaining effective relationships/partnerships to meet project deliverables.
- Generation of technical procurement specifications, parts and document suites.
- Task ownership while working under the guidance of lead and controlled title engineers.
- Ensuring that product design conforms to the requirements specifications.
- Promoting Compliance, Quality & EHS integrity through developing succinct procedures, work instructions, product and process related documentation and creatively promote their use.
- Continuously contribute to department and site goals and objectives.
- Takes responsibility in working across global SPS Engineering Teams to deliver solutions to assigned work packages.
- Demonstrates ability to multi-task and work to agreed schedules.
- Support FAT, EFAT, SIT and commissioning – both onsite and offsite
Common Organizational Responsibilities
- All individual and team activities must comply with company HSE and Operating Policies and Procedures and relevant standards where applicable and appropriate (e.g., API, ASME, ANSI, ISO, IET, ATEX OSHAS NORSOK CompEx, OSHAS (NFPA 70E ).
Education:
- HNC/D or Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Some experience within an engineering environment.
Personal:
- Conscientious, flexible, versatile and determined. Capable of assertive and positive communication and performance.
Leadership:
- Fully fluent in English. Effective team working.
- Flexible in applying different approaches to changing work demands.
- Actively build relationships with clients.
Technical:
- Candidate must demonstrate sufficient depth of industrial experience of which some should be in directly related engineering or in a relevant technical discipline.
- Experience within Subsea Production Control Systems (PCS), design and Intervention product lines.
- Experience and knowledge of direct and indirect hydraulic and electrical control systems, and electrical and hydro-mechanical product design.
- Competent in applying company & industrial standards into engineering designs.
IT /S/Ware
- Current relevant Design, Modelling, Analysis, Management and Documentation software.
- Proficiency in Creo, Team Center, ePIMS, AUTOCAD, etc.
