Overview
- Researching mechanical design and projects at the Institute of ElectricalElectronic Design, such as PDU, MHU, Charging Station, etc.
- Exploring new solutions and optimizing designs to reduce product and manufacturing costs, while improving product quality.
- Advising senior management on manufacturing solutions and design optimization for production.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Vehicle Architecture (VA) team during the mechanical integration of electrical and electronic components into vehicles.
- Control 3D designs of electrical and electronic components to ensure compliance with technical requirements, assembly feasibility, mechanical integration, and VF standards.
- Review 2D design drawings and technical data sheets of electrical and electronic components to ensure mechanical assembly requirements, tolerances, and consistency with 3D designs.
- Work with the Sourcing team to optimize designs and reduce in-house product costs; coordinate with the Data Management team to control BOM, ECN, and DCR.
- Cooperate with the EE DVP team to evaluate products after DVP testing, particularly mechanical tests; provide feedback to suppliers and monitor product quality improvement actions.
- Assess simulation results related to structural and thermal performance.
- Implement research activities on new manufacturing technologies to improve productivity, product quality, and optimize designs for production.
- Manage work, lead the team, optimize departmental costs, and ensure project schedules are met.
Requirements
- Possess professional knowledge in Mechanical Design and a thorough understanding of manufacturing technologies, requiring expertise across multiple mechanical fields (plastic casting, aluminum casting, stamping, CNC, etc.).
- Proficient in using data management systems (Teamcenter) and 3D design software (NX, Catia). Knowledgeable in evaluating simulation results (thermal, structural).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience working in research & development and product design, preferably in the Automotive sector.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify, synthesize, and resolve issues.
- Education: Bachelor's degree or higher.
- Major: Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics.
- Experience in team management and proficient in English for professional work.
