JOB PURPOSE
- Mechanical Engineer leads mechanical design for products of Varroc Vietnam plant, and he/she is responsible for technical solutions and leading and coordination of work within dedicated projects. He/she will work with multinational teams for delivering a robust, proven and reliable mechanical solutions in required time, quality and cost.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Leads all Product design tasks related to particular project in terms of mechanical engineering.
- Is responsible for mechanical BOM release & updates.
- Preparing 3D models, 2D drawings for complete product (assembly drawing) and child parts (PCB, PCB Assembly, Wire harness, mechanical parts)
- Applies and ensure application of the best Varroc design and process practices, standard parts, Lessons Learned, CAD standards and Varroc CAD methodology and customer specific requirements.
- Conduct tolerance analysis, material selection, and structural/thermal considerations.
- Support prototype builds, testing, validation, and design improvements.
- Optimize designs for cost, reliability, weight, and production efficiency.
- Cooperates at creation of DFMEA, CAE plan, DV plan, component test and certification in compliance with the Varroc and customer specifications as well as legal requirements.
- Supports Technical Design Review (TDR) of given project. On request participate on TDR organized by other teams to provide feedback.
- Reports to Program Manager in term of tasks based on assignment into particular project
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications
- University degree in mechanical engineering – mandatory
- CAD (CATIA) or Equipvalent tools – mandatory
- MS Word/ Excel/ Powerpoint – mandatory
- MS Projects - prefered
- DFMEA – prefered
- English certificate - prefered
