The Project Specialist belongs to the Engineering & Project Department AIG, directly responsible for implementing, monitoring, and supporting the execution of projects for factory construction, renovation, and production line expansion.
Goal: ensure projects are delivered within the approved scope, timeline, quality, safety standards, and budget.
Direct report to: Director of Engineering & Project Department.
Willingness to travel or be based onsite at project locations in Northern and Central Vietnam.
II. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Receive assignments and directives from the Director of Engineering & Project Department.
Participate in projects involving new construction, renovation, and expansion of factories and production lines.
Coordinate with relevant departments to gather technical requirements.
Participate in drafting and/or reviewing User Requirement Specifications (URS) and technical specifications (Electrical, Mechanical, Construction, or Automation based on expertise).
Check and review design drawings, master layouts, shop drawings, and technical dossiers.
Manage project documentation; supervise and monitor contractors during construction and equipment installation; provide regular progress updates.
Report progress, risks, and emerging issues to management.
Participate in commissioning and trial runs of equipment and production lines.
Ensure compliance with technical standards, Food Safety (ATVSTP), Occupational Health & Safety (OHS), and AIG internal regulations.
III. AUTHORITY
Request contractors to rectify designs or fabrications that do not meet standards.
Reject handovers/acceptance if the results do not meet the URS.
Propose improvement solutions and technical optimizations.
IV. REQUIREMENT:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering: Mechanical, Electrical, Automation (for M&E role) or Civil Engineering (for Civil role).
Priority given to graduates from Bach Khoa (HCMCUT) or University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE).
3 5 years of experience in food factory construction projects or food production line installations.
In-depth understanding of technical project implementation workflows.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and design documents.
Proven experience in contractor management.
Basic knowledge of Food Safety and Labor Safety standards in food manufacturing.
Ability to read and understand English technical documentation.
Project monitoring and schedule control skills.
Strong communication and negotiation skills with contractors.
Analytical and technical problem-solving skills.
Proficient in MS Office, MS Project, and AutoCAD.
Willingness to travel for business/work at provincial sites as required.
