Role Purpose
Manage End-to-End Material (Trim) sourcing activities including sourcing, development, costing, quality, sample and bulk production. Ensure aesthetic, quality, performance and cost requirements are met. Maintain Material data integrity through a thorough data management process.
Coordinate with Responsible Sourcing team to drive brand's sustainability agenda by providing materials data and supporting the communications with suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage trim development and merchandising for garment programs, including zippers, heat transfers, plastic trims, labels, buttons, and accessories
- Input, update, and maintain trim data accurately in PLM systems
- Prepare and manage Excel files for tracking, costing, and development follow-up
- Coordinate with trim suppliers, garment vendors, and internal sourcing teams
- Follow up on trim submissions, lab dips, strike-offs, approvals, and bulk readiness
- Ensure all trims comply with brand standards and customer requirements
- Support the team in cost negotiation and sourcing alignment
- Communicate effectively with designers / brand teams
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Manager
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Textiles, Apparel, Fashion Merchandising, or related fields
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience as a Trims Merchandiser, preferably in a buying office or brand-support role
- Solid hands-on experience with trims such as zippers, heat transfers, plastic trims, labels, etc.
- Familiar with buying office workflows and customer-driven development processes
- Strong working knowledge of Excel (data input, tracking, basic formulas)
- Hands-on experience using PLM systems
Language and Skill
- Good command of English (spoken and written – required)
- Mandarin is an advantage
- Strong attention to detail and well-organized
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Able to manage multiple styles and timelines in a fast-paced environment
