This position will be a member of the Material Management Team. As a member of this team, you will be shaping the future of Datalogic's success by ensuring that materials are available when needed and in the right quantities and quality and well controlling with inventory
ROLE MISSION:
- Under general direction, performs duties of instructing, directing, and checking the tasks
- Daily follow and execute material management activities to obtain materials, components for master production schedules
- Ensure the timely availability of the highest quality of materials, at the cost of effective price, which meets the quality and quantity standards of the department
- Act as an internal consultant to suggest solutions in projects
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Issue PO based on actual demand in MRP; follow up with supplier to have PO confirmed and shipped as scheduled; ensure no past due PO/ PR
- Check to combine shipment effectively
- Send open and forecast report to vendors
- Follow up on critical items for shortage; execute pull in, push out or cancellation when demand changes; work closely with vendor to make sure everything goes smoothly
- Work closely with Commodity Manager to make sure all parameters update in system are correct and update changes on time
- Work with quality departments and engineers to ensure we continually develop our supply base and monitor supplier's performance
- Escalate to higher level to get support on time
- Closely control inventory especially at the month-end and quarter-end
- Coordinate with other depts such as: Planner to ensure material arrived on time, Logistics to check and confirm shipping documents, Warehouse to solve receiving issues, Account Payable to solve payment issues, QA/ Engineer to solve material issues/ RTV/MRB
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Bachelor's degree of BA, Industrial Management or related fields
- Language: Fluent English; written and verbal communication
- Experiences: Minimum 1 year of raw materials management, procurement, or supply chain experience required.
- Specific skills: SAP MM/MRP module experience required, Good at Microsoft Office
