Marketing Manager

Full-time (40 hrs/week) Remote Vietnam (UTC+7 overlap required)

Range Salary: 2000$-2500$ + bonus based upon revenue goals

About the role

We are a bootstrapped B2B SaaS giveaway and contest platform with 8+ years of production history, 143K+ host accounts, 860 active subscribers, and industry-leading margins. Under new ownership, the business is entering an active growth phase. You will be the first dedicated marketing hire responsible for owning the full marketing function and executing across SEO, Shopify App Store presence, affiliates, email re-engagement, and paid channels.

This is a high-ownership role. You will report directly to the owner, set your own weekly priorities against quarterly goals, and be expected to show measurable MRR impact within 90 days.

Schedule & availability

Daily standup (15 min): required attendance, MondayFriday

Working meeting availability: 7:00 AM 9:00 AM PST, MondayFriday

Overlap window aligns with Seattle HQ (Renton, WA). All other hours are async-flexible.

Year 1 priorities

1. SEO & content marketing

  • Own keyword strategy targeting giveaway/contest tool searches and Shopify merchant queries
  • Publish 24 SEO-optimized blog posts or landing pages per month
  • Build a backlink pipeline through outreach, guest posts, and directory listings
  • Track rankings and organic traffic weekly via Google Search Console and Analytics

2. Shopify App Store growth

  • Drive review volume from current merchant base target 100+ reviews in Year 1
  • Manage App Store listing copy, screenshots, and feature highlights
  • Monitor competitor listings (Viral Sweep, Giveaway Ninja) and identify positioning gaps

3. Affiliate & partner program

  • Research, identify, and recruit affiliate and referral partners (bloggers, Shopify educators, ecommerce communities)
  • Set up and manage affiliate tracking (Impact, PartnerStack, or equivalent)
  • Produce affiliate onboarding materials, banners, and copy

4. Win-back & lifecycle email (Klaviyo)

  • Design and launch win-back sequence targeting 15K lapsed paying customers
  • Build lifecycle sequences: trial-to-paid conversion, feature adoption, upsell to annual
  • Report on open rates, click rates, and attributed MRR monthly

5. Paid acquisition (Google / Meta)

  • Launch and manage small-budget paid campaigns targeting SaaS giveaway tool keywords
  • A/B test ad copy and landing pages; optimize toward trial signups
  • Report CAC and payback period monthly; scale only when unit economics justify it

Required

  • 3+ years in B2B SaaS marketing ideally at a product-led growth or bootstrapped company
  • SEO expertise: keyword research, on-page optimization, link building, Search Console fluency
  • Proficiency with SEO tools such as SEMrush or Ahrefs you use them daily, not occasionally
  • Klaviyo or equivalent ESP you can build sequences from scratch without a template
  • Shopify App Store experience you understand how ASO works for apps
  • Google Ads and/or Meta Ads you can set up, manage, and optimize campaigns independently
  • Strong written English you will write copy, landing pages, and emails yourself
  • Data-driven: you set goals, track metrics, and adjust based on results

Nice to have

  • Affiliate program management (Impact, PartnerStack, ShareASale)
  • Experience marketing to Shopify merchants or ecommerce brands
  • Content repurposing across Twitter/X, LinkedIn, Reddit communities
  • Basic familiarity with Google Analytics 4 and conversion tracking setup
  • Prior experience at a solo-founder bootstrapped SaaS
  • Proficiency with AI productivity tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) for drafting, research, summarization, and day-to-day task acceleration

Compensation

Depends upon experience.
