Marketing Director Opportunity (CMO-Level) – B2B Industrial
Nam Kim Steel is seeking a Marketing Director to partner directly with the CEO in shaping market strategy, driving growth, and building a strong long-term brand in a B2B industrial environment.
This is not a conventional marketing role.
We are looking for someone who understands how markets truly work—and can translate that understanding into strategic growth.
About the Role
As Marketing Director, you will act as a strategic partner to the CEO, responsible for:
- Co-creating company-wide market and growth strategies
- Building and leading long-term brand positioning
- Designing and driving Go-to-market strategy
- Shaping Marketing as a strategic function that guides Sales direction
- Building and transforming the Marketing organization into a scalable system
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Partner with the CEO and executive team on business and market strategy
- Analyze market structure, customer segments, and competitive positioning
- Challenge and refine growth strategies and business models
Brand & Market Strategy
- Define and execute long-term brand strategy in a B2B industrial context
- Ensure consistency across product, channel, communication, and customer experience
- Strengthen brand awareness and market credibility
Go-to-Market & Commercial Strategy
- Design and optimize Go-to-market strategies across customer segments
- Collaborate with Sales on channel development and expansion
- Contribute to Pricing strategy and market positioning
- Align Product, Market needs, and Commercial execution
Marketing as a Growth Driver
- Build a framework connecting Marketing – Sales – Product – Supply Chain
- Improve market targeting and customer acquisition quality
- Support strategic direction of Sales from a market perspective
Organization Building
- Design and build a high-performing Marketing team
- Establish processes, systems, and performance measurement frameworks
- Develop capabilities for long-term scalability
What We Are Looking For
Experience
- 10–15+ years of experience in Marketing
- At least 5 years in a senior leadership role
- Strong preference for candidates from B2B, industrial, manufacturing, or technical distribution environments
- Not limited to the steel industry, but must demonstrate strong market strategy capabilities in comparable contexts

- Strong market sensing and ability to read market dynamics
- Strategic thinking with a deep understanding of business and growth
- Experience in Go-to-market, Pricing, Channel, and Brand strategy
