FUNCTIONAL BUSINESS OBJECTIVEs (FBOs):
The Communication Team Leader plays a critical role in shaping and delivering California Wellness Group's brand communication and content execution. Working closely with internal stakeholders, including Marketing, Sales, and Operations teams, he/she is responsible for leading the Content, Design, and Video teams to deliver high-quality communication outputs that drive both brand equity and performance results.
Operating in a high-performance culture with strong attention to execution excellence, he/she contributes to the company's brand strength, lead generation, and revenue growth by:
Delivering consistent, on-brand, and compliant communication across all channels;
Driving performance content that supports lead generation and conversion objectives;
Building strong visual and video storytelling aligned with CWG's premium positioning.
REPORTS TO: Marketing Manager
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & CRITICAL DRIVERS:
A. 60% - Content & Communication Execution Leadership
- Lead and manage the Content team (performance & branding), ensuring content is delivered on time, on brief, and aligned with business objectives.
- Translate marketing strategies and campaign objectives into clear content directions and communication plans.
- Ensure all content complies with healthcare advertising regulations and brand standards
- Review, refine, and approve key content assets across channels including social media, ads, website, landing pages, ZNS, email, and POSM.
- Coordinate closely with Performance Marketing to optimize content angles for lead generation, booking, and conversion.
B. 25% - Design & Video Team Management
- Lead the Design and Video Editor teams to ensure visual and video outputs meet brand guidelines and aesthetic standards
- Guide the development of key visuals, videos, and creative assets for campaigns, branding initiatives, and performance marketing.
- Ensure consistency of brand identity across all visual touchpoints (online & offline)
- Manage workload, timelines, and quality control across creative deliverables.
- Stay updated on content, visual, and video trends to continuously improve output quality and effectiveness.
C. 15% - Team Development, Collaboration & Improvement
- Contribute to a collaborative and high-performing team culture by coaching, mentoring, and supporting team members.
- Work closely with Sales, Operations teams to ensure communication aligns with customer insights and operational realities.
- Proactively propose improvements to content processes, workflows, and communication effectiveness.
- Continuously develop personal knowledge in healthcare communication, branding, and digital content trends.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- University Degree strongly preferred, ideally in a relevant degree such as marketing, advertising, communications, business, entrepreneurship or similar.
- Minimum 46 years of experience in content, communication, or creative roles, with at least 12 years in a team leadership capacity.
- Strong understanding of the difference between branding content and performance-driven content.
- Hands-on experience working with content creators, designers, and video editors.
- Good aesthetic sense and strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and reporting skills
- Results-driven mindset with strong execution focus
- Experience in relevant industries is a strong advantage.
